Kenneth John Cubas
Vice President, Fiduciary Trust Co., International
15 February, 1953-11 September, 2001
This image of Ken blowing bubbles serves as a metaphor for
his tremendous spirit.
"When lilacs last in the dooryard bloom'd, And the great
star early droop'd in the western sky in the night, I mourn'd,
and yet shall mourn with ever-returning spring. Ever-returning
spring, trinity sure to me you bring, Lilac blooming perennial
and drooping star in the west, And thought of him I love
O how shall I warble myself for the dead one there I loved?
And how shall I deck my soul for the large sweet soul that
has gone? And what shall my perfume be for the grave of him
I love?"
-Walt Whitman

If you met Ken Cubas, you immediately loved
the guy-his sense of humor, love for people and willingness
to always help others. His efforts, and those of his team,
facilitated the successful recovery of mission critical systems
at the Comdisco disaster recovery site. There is a little
bit of Ken in everything we use. His warm greetings, gentle
demeanor and professionalism will be missed by all who knew
him. Ken touched and affected the lives of many, and will
continue to live in our memories and in our hearts.
