Carmen, along with our children, is the most important thing
in my life. The gift she gave me is our children and herself.
There is no limit to Carmen's abilities. She always looks
to better herself. She isn't afraid to take on new goals and
challenges. She is a great wife and mother to her three wonderful
children. She is loved by her husband, children and family,
and we are counting the days until she returns to us.

On the day of the World Trade Center tragedy,
Carmen made her way out of the Trust Department along with
several other colleagues and myself. On her way down, she
was comforting a very distraught employee, and upon reaching
the 90th floor we met Bob Mattson. Carmen decided to stay
back, not wanting to leave anyone she knew behind.
It's Carmen's nature to be so dedicated. She
continually comforted people, especially when she smiled and
said, "OK honey." We remember her laughter, which
added a touch of joy and levity to the department.
